The History of La Tour Blanche

Situated between the estuary of the river Somme and Crêcy Forest, the Chateau was built at Forest-Montiers in around 1740 and then in about 1850 a wing of farm and stables was added. The property belonged to Mademoiselle Broutel, after it was passed on to her by her uncle Henrie Loisel le Gaucher from Broutel, who was married to Madame Marie-Julie of Rocquigny. Prior to that the property belonged to Madame de Moreaucourt and Madame Marie Adrienne Douville who was the wife of Monsieur Henri Douville of Franssu who lived in the Chateau of Franssu in 1852.During the second world war the Chateau was owned by the Caussin family and was occupied by the Germans.
